Each of the chess piece has its own unique movement. A chess piece may be moved to another position or may attack and capture an opponent’s piece by landing on that particular square where the opponent’s piece is positioned. The captured chess piece is removed from the game and cannot be used again all through out the course of the game. However, key chess pieces can return to the game if a pawn is promoted and the chosen chess piece has already been captured. They can use that particular chess piece again in the game. With the knights as exceptions, any piece may not move over, or jump over any other chess piece – either it’s your own or the opponent’s.
